Error Message During Join Process

(OP)
I am attempting to do a join of a surface model in Catia V5 so that I may convert it to a solid model.
After recreating surfaces and retrimming surfaces I tried to join the surfaces and got the following error message.

Incoherent Join Specifications:
Selected elements have not the same dimensions.
Does anyone know what the problem my be?

Thanks.

RE: Error Message During Join Process

Hi,

It means you are including something other than surfaces in your join selection. Most likely it's a piece of wire frame.

You are right it as it turned out I had lines and points used as boundries in my model once I deleted all of those the problem was solved.

Thanks.

RE: Error Message During Join Process

Next time instead of deleting items, just use your selection filter and select surface selection to only allow selecting of surfaces...Will save you tons of time when dealing with imported geometry.
