NORSOK HX Datasheet

NORSOK HX Datasheet

NORSOK HX Datasheet

(OP)
This question is for anyone who has used or is familiar with the NORSOK RDS-019 Shell and Tube Heat Exchanger datasheet in the R-001(Rev 3) Standard. What type of values are expected for the Table on Page 3(This is Page 115 of the PDF) The 4 columns on the sketch sheet table are titled:
Nozzle X Y Z

My initial ideas where either location or design loads, but XYZ implies coordinates to me but my previous experience would expect orientation, radial distance and elevation. I've looked at the TEMA and API datasheets and nothing like this is included.

RE: NORSOK HX Datasheet

It for you to fill in the nozzle loads on the axis.

RE: NORSOK HX Datasheet

cocofalco, its hard to be certain, but this block could be for nozzle loads in a "world" coordinate system. There is space on the page that may be for a sketch showing orientations. I suppose the block could be for actual loads from a piping analysis, or perhaps a manufacturer's allowable loads.

These "world coordinate" loads would then need to be resolved to WRC (vessel) coordinates for that type of analysis.

My best guess.

Regards,

Mike
