"Unable to locate temporary file" crash help

(OP)
I'm building a tower with Solidworks '07, trying to run COSMOS on it. Even if the part or assembly is saved, solidworks pops up with "unable to locate temporary file" after clicking 'run' on COSMOS. Why is this coming up, and what can I do to fix it?

Thanks.

RE: "Unable to locate temporary file" crash help

I just had that problem myself.
Cosmos needs to open some files when writing all of its equations. It makes up temporary files while doing this and then deletes them when done. I had your message pop-up on my screen and it turned out that the file Cosmos was trying to write to was locked out to me. I had to ask IT to give me full control access to fix the problem. The file was C:\TEMP
I am not sure that this will be the same solution for you, but you might try it.
