Dear sirs,

We have been proposed by a pump vendor to supply a 3 way valve that also controls the min flow recycle.  I've never heard of the valve does anyone know of it or is it succesfull.

I understand these valves allow a smaller pump as the min flow recycle is automatically shutoff.

I've never seen them..

RE: Energy saving 3 way / NRV valve / min flow recycle valve

It sounds like a Yarway AutoRecircValve or one of the clones.  Perhaps the automatic recirculation valves showed up in the late sixties.

RE: Energy saving 3 way / NRV valve / min flow recycle valve

The Yarways are a common solution for minimum flow. Several clients in the past have used them extensively.

Thanks for this.
Are these valve normally used over industy ?
and are they reliable and do they save much money?

we have only ever used orifice plates and recycle lines.

RE: Energy saving 3 way / NRV valve / min flow recycle valve

Are they normally used over industry? Hard to say, it depends on the user's preference.

Does it save money? Hard to say, and depends on who you talk to, and what they want.

Having said that, they are common, and many people use them. Sorry, not much help here am I?
