Stored Bladder Tank

Stored Bladder Tank

Stored Bladder Tank

(OP)
A 500 Gal bladder tank is supplied to be used for system protection against the water surge. The bladder tank is bought and stored for two years with no use and without charging the bladder with Nitrogen, the bladder material is PVC white. The owner is intended to install this bladder tank and to use it after few days. is it Ok to use the PVC bladder after this long storage period ? does anyone knows anything about the expire of bladders or the recomended period for replacement ?

RE: Stored Bladder Tank

It should be fine, but I would check with the manufactuer to see what there recomendations are.  Also I would make sure that your pressure in the tank matches your operating conditions.
