Steel groupings for welding

(OP)
I have been given steel grade RQT 701 as the British equivalent to A514 grade Q. In order to proceed with welding this I am looking for classification of the steel group the RQT 701 belongs?

RE: Steel groupings for welding

bryanb1;
Assuming that the British Steel Grade RQT 701 is equivalent to ASTM A 514 Grade Q, the Material No and Group No for ASTM A 514 Grade Q is  11B and 9, respectively.

RE: Steel groupings for welding

Under which standard is it Material 11B Group 9?
