Does anybody know how to determine the uplift resistance of timber pilings?  There is no pile cap.

Isnt that depend on the soil?  My guess is you get the skin friction from the soil report.

You should probably post this in the Geotechnical section of this forum, either under "Foundation Engineering", or Geotechnical Engineering Other Topics".

That being said, you should consider engaging the services of a local Geotech.
