Voids in the Mineral Aggregate Calculation

Voids in the Mineral Aggregate Calculation

(OP)
I need to calculate VMA in according to:

Chapter V, MARSHALL METHOD OF MIX DESIGN, of the Asphalt Institutes’s Manual Series No. 2 (MS-2), Mix Design Methods of Asphalt Concrete, Sixth Edition.

I do not have this reference and also do not have time to buy it so I was wondering if anyone out there can let me know how to calculate it.

I normally would calculate VMA as follows:

VMA = 100-(Bulk S.G.*Aggregate Content by weight/Bulk S.G of Aggregate)

However, different methods may do it differently, and I needed to confirm the referenced method.

Thanks
