weight properties
weight properties
(OP)
I need to add the weight of a part to a unigraphics NX2 dwg table. I can extract expressions and attributes, but I can't find a way to link the weight field from the properties.
mass3d? any ideas?

RE: weight properties
I don't use NX2 but in NX3 and NX5 you can use attributes. If you had measurements of the mass in expression {for example p18) than you can write in values of attribute like that <X0.3@p18>kg, you give a name for this attribute (for example total mass). On part list of drafting add new column with right button choose style/ column than choose name of attribute you had on the first step. program automatic give you values of mass (kg).
The second method is on part list after add new column, right click choose style/column/mass you will have values of the mass but only by gram.

RE: weight properties
So far it hasn't worked in NX2 butI Will work with your suggestions and let you know haw it went.
RE: weight properties
If you want to do this then you should have a look at setting up your standard parts to have this setting turned on.

RE: weight properties
Depending on what version of NX you're using we have determined that the way it is done varied slightly since NX-5 at least includes a few enhancements.
If you look through the topics on this forum going back over the past month or so you may be able to find detailed examination of ways of doing things with weight attributes using Journals and other methods that aren't particularly standard or straightforward.
Preferably you will find it easier to stick to the standard behavior of NX that most people utilize. You'll find as a result that from one version to the next the system should maintain some continuity. Using a parts list would be my first choice for that reason.
