Material Conversion Chart

Material Conversion Chart

(OP)
Hello,

First time poster.....does anyone know where someone can find any easy to use material conversion chart. I have what I believe is a German material spec and need to convert that into something I can understand, a US material!

Here is what I have.... Gusseisen EN 1563-GJS-X (GGG-SiMo 5-1) DBL4441.10.

It is a casting, but I have a feeling I may run into this more with other materials thats why I was looking for some sort of conversion chart.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

RE: Material Conversion Chart

This question has been asked repeatedly.  Perform a search, looking for Stahlschlussel, and the ASM products Worldwide Guide to Equivalent Irons and Steels and Worldwide Guide to Equivalent Nonferrous Metals & Alloys.

Regards,

Cory

RE: Material Conversion Chart

FYI, DBL 4441 is a standard from Mercedes Benz in Germany.  If it appears on a drawing that you are reviewing, then you need to ask your customer for the most recent revision so that you can properly quote.  This particular designation is a Si-Mo alloyed cast iron typically used for automotive exhaust manifolds.
