Articulated Concrete Block Revetment
Articulated Concrete Block Revetment
(OP)
Is anyone aware of design guidance for articulated concrete block revetments, specifically for installation on a slope (i.e. not open channel applications). I am aware of design using hydraulic stability methods. However, these methods do not allow the consideration of additional stability provided by mechanical anchoring of the mattress (they essentially look at one block and treat it as a piece of riprap). Thank you.

RE: Articulated Concrete Block Revetment
varous universities have done some studies( University of Winnepeg I think has some info. The US Core of engineers should have some info in their manuals.
There are other types of articulated bocks using different link methods so you will need to establish the preferred type of block and what strenghts you need first before you do any stability calculations.
