Both ways linking of UG with external Spread sheet

Both ways linking of UG with external Spread sheet

Both ways linking of UG with external Spread sheet

(OP)
can we send values of any UG expression to an external spread sheet and then drive the values of some other UG expressions from the same spread sheet.

Any feed back is highly appreciated.

RE: Both ways linking of UG with external Spread sheet

You would need to use either NX Open or KF routines to write to an external spreadsheet, however, we do have Expressions functions which can READ values from an external spreadsheet.

While in the Expression dialog, click on the 'f(x)' icon in the lower left of the dialog and then from the list of Categories, select 'spreadsheet'.  You will find 4 functions there than can be used in an expression so that each time the part file it upated, that these functions will updated based on the values found in the referenced spreadsheet.
