Calculating cost of gas compression
Calculating cost of gas compression
(OP)
Hi,
Does anyone out there have a rule of thumb that they would use for estimating the costs associated with compressing and moving a gas? I want to inject CO2 into a liquid stream at a depth of 6ft through a sparger. I would assume that it would be somewhat compressor and flowrate specific but if you could point me in the right direction that would be hugely appreciated.
Thanks

RE: Calculating cost of gas compression
Fuel doesn't vary as much, say 7.5 to 10 BTU/HP-hr. In electric drives, there is usually 90% to 98% effiency, again depending on size.
Finally, CO2 can be pumped at some point so cost drop.
