(OP)
Does anyone know of a good book that has design examples on  how to design aluminum angles for use in structures?

RE: aluminum design

The Aluminum Design Manual available from The Aluminum Association (www.aluminum.org)is a good manual as well as some of their other publications.

One caution with aluminum is that all structural shapes have some level of tempering (T-0 thru T-6+), so design for welding requires significantly reduced allowable stresses and the yield stresses change with temper, obviously.

RE: aluminum design

If you're interested, http://www.pwr-tools.com/ has a general library of aluminum shapes, free download.

Also consider weldability, corrosion resistance, formability, etc.

What's the general application (marine, aircraft, buildings, etc.?)
