Edge Flange Problem

Edge Flange Problem

Edge Flange Problem

(OP)
We seem to have a problem with edge flange in SW2007 SP4.0. It doesn't seem to matter whether you select the function or the edge first but most times it crashes SW once the flange is displayed. We've tried closing ours eyes and praying but this doesn't always work lol..

Has anyone else seen this, and do you know of a way around the random crashes.

Thanks

Woolly

RE: Edge Flange Problem

I'm also running SW07-SP4 and have no problems with the Edge Flange function.

What are your system specs?

cheers

RE: Edge Flange Problem

(OP)
SW2007 SP4 x64, 4Gb Ram, 256Mb FX3500 Graphics, 2.7Ghz dual core intel processor.

RE: Edge Flange Problem

I doubt the praying will help, but if you keep your eyes closed, at least you won't see the crash. wink

Does the x64 refer to both SW and OS?

Is the OS XP or Vista?

Was the install performed with the AV disabled?

cheers

RE: Edge Flange Problem

(OP)
Yes both SW and OS are x64, AV was disabled during installation. XP windows SP2

RE: Edge Flange Problem

Are you having the problem with all Edge Flanges? i.e. to a simple flat straight edge, and to curved edges.

Are you modifying the edge flange sketch in any way? (adding cut-outs, etc)

cheers

RE: Edge Flange Problem

Are you using the 9136 video driver?

cheers

RE: Edge Flange Problem

(OP)
Driver version 8.4.2.6, straight edges are the problem, that not to say curved aren't as well but we don't tend to get into that. We don't get chance to edit the sketch it dies as soon as the flange preview appears on the screen.
