Process Water Mixing Rate

Process Water Mixing Rate

Process Water Mixing Rate

(OP)
Good day:

I am working on a project utilizing a 12' diameter wet well receiving process water from a plant. No domestic sewage will be introduced into the well.  The customer wants to intermittenly mix the wet well to collect a representative sample of the waste prior to pumping the wet well out.  The side water depth may be up to 20' at times.  I was thinking  of utilizing a series of s.s. coarse air diffusers on the wet well floor to distribute the air.  Any idea on the recommended flowrate and pressure for an air compressor or blower to provide adequate mixing?

Thank you.

RE: Process Water Mixing Rate

You have not mentioned the parameters of the fluid that you are trying to mix. For general wastewater applications like equalization basins, the air mixing requirements will be about 1-2 SCFM Air/ 1000 Ft3 tank.
