Seismic Load Generation

Seismic Load Generation

(OP)
Our office has been using Risa-3d for building analysis, but as of yet, they do not support the Canadian code for wind and seismic load generation. We have had to calculate the loads by hand and then manipulate the seismic variables from the American code to suit.
I am wondering how other offices are dealing with these load generations or if in fact there is other software that takes into account the Canadian code.

Thanks

RE: Seismic Load Generation

onteng,

Why are you calculating the loads by hand?  If you do a response spectral analysis, the base data you provide the program will generate loads based on modes.  In seismic analysis it is more cost effective to do this.  Then do a sanity check by hand.
