Welding AerMet Tool Alloy

Welding AerMet Tool Alloy

Welding AerMet Tool Alloy

I need to pass a .75" OD bar of stainless 15-7 through a 1.00"thk 4.25" OD disk of AerMet tooling alloy.  We then need to weld the bar to the AerMet and heat treat the whole thing to get close to RC50-55.  The bar is offset from center of the disk and will act as a crank.

I am unfamiliar with this material, and am looking for advice on type of welding, and PWHT call-out on the drawing.

As an update, we have abandoned the AerMet alloy and are using 15-7 across the board with PWHT to RH950.
