IEEE STD Motor X/R table

IEEE STD Motor X/R table

IEEE STD Motor X/R table

(OP)
Hi all,

I have a question in interpreting a X/R ratio for motors on the IEEE Std 141-1993, Figure 4A-3.  The figure has two bands, and it is divided in three catagories(High,Medium, and Low Voltage). If I have a low voltage motor, does it mean the X/R ratio of the motor can be range between 1 to 6?  Nowaday, we have these very high efficiency motor. Does this IEEE table still apply to these high efficiency motors?

Thank you for helping out.
