Used Scopes
Used Scopes
(OP)
Who has bought used scopes from an online or other company they are willing to recommend?
There are so many out there, I just want to use a company someone else has used without issues. As far as what I am looking for, depends on the price but at least a dual channel, 60Mhz unit with single shot function - nothing demanding at all. Unit must come with current calibration.
Thanks

RE: Used Scopes
Have you used one of these for any length of time? I'm looking for a new scope which is better suited to field work than the big LeCroy we currently lug around site. The Tek TPS series has a lot going for it but its spec has fallen behind because it is a while since it was released. I would want either a decent bench scope or a fast analogue scope for the jobs the TPS won't do. I haven't heard of an update or a planned replacement for the series over here in the UK - any word over in the US?

I haven't really done any serious lab work in about 5 yrs
The TDS just happens to be in stock at the local Fry's, and while there are cheaper ones from other manufacturers, Tek still has a decent reputation.

RE: Used Scopes
I have known 2 people who got good scopes on ebay... The calibration may be an issue though.
