just an fyi for anyone running SolidEdge version 20. service pack 1 was released today on ugs.com

RE: SP1 FOR SEv20

Out of curiosity, has anyone made the switch since the release of SP1?

I wanted to wait for at least SP2 before upgrading (already have the V20 box in my office), but with the upgrades vs. V19, I'm very tempted to not wait longer. 2 weeks ago I needed frame components in an ass'y to be mirrored, it's now possible in V20, could have saved me a LOT of time as I had to model everything back into real parts.

RE: SP1 FOR SEv20

Hello Gemnoc,

We have upgraded this weekend, after receiving SP1. So far I am very impressed. It runs very stable (some of our assemblies are 25000 parts.)

I started using SE 5 years ago with V12 and I rate V20 as one of the best releases yet. There is no single mind-blowing improvement but they made alot of small improvements across the whole program.

RE: SP1 FOR SEv20

Well I've been eager to install it since I went to the regional seminar on V20 last month. But it will have to wait, as I'm in the middle of a project.

One of the things that I can't wait to use is the keyboard shortcuts for Intellisketch: when drawing in sketch environment, you can press E to snap on endpoint, M for midpoint, C for center, etc. Can't believe they hadn't thought of implementing this yet. When you think that Autocad has allowed to swap between possible snap points with the tab key for years...
