SolidWorks 2007 SP5.0

SolidWorks 2007 SP5.0

(OP)
Any word on SP5.0? I thought I heard it was coming out the first week of October.

RE: SolidWorks 2007 SP5.0

The EV is out, and has been for a couple of weeks, so the full release can't be too far behind.

RE: SolidWorks 2007 SP5.0

General rule of thumb is two weeks after the release of the EV, but since they pulled the EV from download I'm guessing they found a serious glitch.

RE: SolidWorks 2007 SP5.0

EV5.0 was pulled for the following two reasons:

SPR 398764 Components in non-active configuration get suppressed after saving
SPR 398935 Dragging a dimension handle changes the dimension from 'This Configuration' to 'All Configurations'

Both are being addressed and will be fixed in the production release.

RE: SolidWorks 2007 SP5.0

I just noticed something this week. For those of you that have SP4.0, if you go to Help/About SolidWorks, does it show 4.0 or 0.0? Mine shows 0.0. Weird.

RE: SolidWorks 2007 SP5.0

ctopher,

The version displayed in the Help / About SolidWorks is determined by the help files which were a separate download last time I upgraded.

RE: SolidWorks 2007 SP5.0

To my knowledge, the help files are always a separate download.  As I recall, the SP number isn't always updated in the help files.

RE: SolidWorks 2007 SP5.0

I updated the Help file. I did the whole reinstall including Help, it still shows SP0.0.
I will call my VAR later today.
It's not that important anyway, I'm going to update to 2008 soon.
