What is the reboiler steam temperature for MDEA amine regeneration ?

We are in the process of designing a MDEA regeneration reboiler. What is the max heat flux and what is the allowable Delta T? Can MP steam (about 180 Deg C) be used for heating?
Thanks in advance!!

RE: What is the reboiler steam temperature for MDEA amine regeneration ?

The MDEA will need 120 to 125 C to strip it.  So 180 C steam will be good.  The allowable DT? You can use direct fired heaters to add heat with skin temperatures ove 300 C.  Heat flux, with steam heating, its whatever you get from Q=UADTlnm and from detailed calcs for U.

dear dcasto. Thanks for the prompt reply. Though direct fired heaters will be ideal for us(70MW heat duty), we have been warned not to touch direct fired heaters due to high skin. Sorry I posted this question here instead of the ch E design forum. Can you pl paste yr reply there and continue from there pl? Skin temperature advised to us is maximum 160 Deg C. Have you any direct experience on fired heaters for this service? Pl reply in the other forum. Thanks in advance.
