PrtSrn problem

PrtSrn problem

PrtSrn problem

We are developing a specific SW utility for our company. I am try to write a report for the developer using screen captures of models and drawings. When I open SW the "PrtSrn" "SHIFT+PrtScr" and even "ALT+PrtScr" functions stop working (they work fine until SW is started). I am try to copy these into a word document. Does any know of a reason SW work would interfere with these functions and how I can resolve this?

RE: PrtSrn problem

pdelnet,

My operating system is XP Pro and "ctrl+print screen" and then "ctrl+v" to paste it into any windows document is how it works for me.

Try toggling the F Lock key to the OFF mode. Some keyboards have an indicator close by the Num Lock and Caps Lock indicators.

I have had success with a screen captures using a free graphic utility called irfanview.  Have a look-see.  www.irfanview.com

Does the Screen Capture tool in SW Standard toolbar work?

From what I have seen SW screen capture does not capture the feature tree. I have tried this from home and the regular method works so it must be some type of windows setting.

RE: PrtSrn problem

I am running Windows XP and the "ALT Print Screen" function worked just fine with SolidWorks 2007 SP4. I pasted it into Word with the tree showing. If there is a setting, I do not know it.

RE: PrtSrn problem

Could be a video driver issue, try the printscreen method with software opengl activated. This fixed some video capture issues a client of mine once had. Don't forget to switch it back off when you are done!

Good one, I like that :)

However; if it ever gets to that point I believe the item the monitor is on would probably be made of porcelain
and the enter key would be a little silver handle.

RE: PrtSrn problem

Check your Windows SP. I think I read once a SP was released to partly fix screen printing.
