RE: VAR Subscription Issues

I don't know what problems you are having, but maybe this will explain.

Oct 16, 2007 Bulletin: Customer Portal update and login changes
On Friday evening Oct. 12th the next version of the Customer Portal was made available. We removed the login via a serial number. You will need to log in using an email and password.

Note:
- To create a new account, select To create a new account, click here.
- To recover or reset your password, click Forgot your password.
- If you experience a problem with creating your account you will receive a message stating the issue has been transferred to the Customer Center and one of our representatives will be addressing the issue.

If you do not already have a Customer Portal account, you can create one at any time by visiting, http://www.solidworks.com/customerportal

cheers

Thanks CBL, I hadn't seen that alert but it explains alot. Now all I have to do is get that account straightened out with my VAR.

RE: VAR Subscription Issues

I tried creating an account to day but could not get it to work
I got error message “could not create account for the following reason” but gave no reason
Any one managed to create an account?

RE: VAR Subscription Issues

I've had no problems so far ... but then I was setup with the email/password log-in option when the portal became operational. The serial number log-in wouldn't work for me.

cheers

I have one staff member who didn't have a problem logging in. When he looked at the list of registered members it included a large number of staff that aren't with the company anymore as well as members of the taff who don't even know what SW is. When I can finally get logged in I have alot of clean up to do.

RE: VAR Subscription Issues

I used to be able to login with my email and password. Then my VAR did a booboo and and reported our serial numbers as not on the subscription. I couldn't login any more with my email. We had to call our VAR to fix the problem. I don't know what they did but I could login with my serial number. The email and pasword never worked again. If they changed the portal again it seems I have to chase my VAR once more to fix my problem.

RE: VAR Subscription Issues

I have no probs logging on today with my password, which is....noevil

I haven't been doing the SW Admin very long at my company, but it seems like everywhere my VAR gets involved things get screwed up.
