how do you calculate velocity from lift equation ?

how do you calculate velocity from lift equation ?

how do you calculate velocity from lift equation ?

(OP)
guys i remember the lift equation to be
L= 1/2 rho V*V Cl S

i need to calculate V
i have rho i have cl and i have S
and i don't remember how to do that

RE: how do you calculate velocity from lift equation ?

to clarify ...
v = sqrt(2L/(rho*S*CL))

i know what the formula is
airplane mass : 60,000 Kg
acceleration of gravity is 9.81 m/(s*s)
wing area is 105 m*m
density is standard icao value 1.225 kg/m*m*m
and Cl = 0.384
how do i find L from the above.

i think it has to do with finding acceleration (force / mass) and then from that calculating velocity)
but as i got old i don't remember.

any idea ?

RE: how do you calculate velocity from lift equation ?

assume Lift=weight=mg=clqS

RE: how do you calculate velocity from lift equation ?

(OP)
Lift=weight=mg=clqS ?
q as in dynamic pressure ?
and mg ? what's that ?

RE: how do you calculate velocity from lift equation ?

Well if its not magnesium, or a now defunkt car manufacturer i'm left with mass x gravity.
Long day.

RE: how do you calculate velocity from lift equation ?

yeah, the word "weight" was a clue

the reality is a plane in level flight, so the lift reacts the weight of the plane

i'm such a kacker
long days guys too long of  a day

RE: how do you calculate velocity from lift equation ?

if its level flight then L=W then u can proceed
