Back in 2004 in thread 238-109182 TestBeforeTouch said
"When the largest MCC manufacturer (Allen-Bradley) tells me they use Carbon Steel to join their copper busbars together and that the never need to be retorqued I have serious doubts about the need for silicon bronze."

I went snooping around the Allen Bradley Rockwell site for an owner's manual to use as a reference here, but came up empty.  Do you have a model number or ?? that I could use to aim my search better?

Thanks,

Dan T

RE: bus bar hardware, attn TestBeforeTouch

Dan,
You can find the reference in the Allen-Bradley Centerline Instruction Manual on Page 9-2. See http://literature.rockwellautomation.com/idc/groups/literature/documents/in/2100-in012_-en-p.pdf

NOTE: The factory-made power bus connections are tightened by a computer-controlled torquing system. The following connections do not require re-torquing, vertical to horizontal bus connections and power conductor to horizontal bus connections. These factory-made connections do not require servicing for the life of the motor control center.
