Fabricated Inflatable Dams

Fabricated Inflatable Dams

Fabricated Inflatable Dams

(OP)
A client of ours has fabricated inflatable dams installed within the sewer system to regulate flows.  We're looking at replacing some of these dams, however I'm having a tough time finding anyone that still makes these for such applications.

Bridgestone used to make them, but they're getting out of the business.  Obermyer makes them, but they haven't installed any in the U.S.

Does anybody know of or have experience with any other manufacturers that fabricate these kinds of dams?

Thanks!

RE: Fabricated Inflatable Dams

Why don't you employ other regulators like valves, weirs orifices etc

We started to take a look at using alternate technologies (bending weirs, etc.) however this is being done as part of a total system improvement, and the client has invested money in rehabilitating the controls and automation for the blowers already.  Basically - they want dams, so dams are what they get ;)

www.sumigate.com???? or ask one of the north-sea offshore large rubber-application suppliers?

RE: Fabricated Inflatable Dams

The last ones I used came fron Japan, maybe Bridgeport. They used them for flow control to flood/isolate rice paddys.
Good Luck
