Pigging of internally-lined pipeline
Pigging of internally-lined pipeline
(OP)
Ignoring the obvious statement, i.e. an internally-lined pipe should not be subject to corrosion and therefore inspection pigging is superfluous, can anyone tell me the maximum thickness of inside lining for MFL pigging inspection. Has anyone any experience of this?
Thanks in advance

As for CRA clad lines, I would expect that, when they come, the IP tools will be UT based rather than MFL.

With the organic linings could you tell me if there is a method for completing (applying) the protection of the pipeline afforded by the coating to the weld roots after welding. Or is that achieved by use of a specially-selected filler metal for the weld root?
