Model reference in assembly

Model reference in assembly

Model reference in assembly

(OP)
I removed a component from an assembly, but whenever I open up the assembly, Solidworks is looking for the deleted component. How do I fix this. Thank you.

RE: Model reference in assembly

Are you re-saving the assembly after deleting the component?

Are you sure you have deleted ALL instances of the component? (patterns, suppressed, other configs)?

cheers

RE: Model reference in assembly

Was the component used in any assembly-level features (assembly cuts, cavity, join)?

RE: Model reference in assembly

Oooh, good thinking Tick.

In a similar vein, has the component been used as a base feature of another component (Insert > Part into another part), or for a mirrored part.

cheers
