Threaded insert to fit umodified m5-0.8 tapped hole?

Threaded insert to fit umodified m5-0.8 tapped hole?

(OP)
I have a tapped hole, m5-0.8 in a hardened steel member. I need to step down the size of this hole to ideally m4-0.7, but anything smaller than that could work. Are there any threaded inserts that can do this? The coil type all use a special tap which could not cut this hard steel.

Thank you

Weld it shut and re-tap it.

I seem to have found what I need in aerospace grade inserts. Alcoa Keensert and a few others have what I need. Thanks all!
