CHANGING DIMENSION TEXT

CHANGING DIMENSION TEXT

CHANGING DIMENSION TEXT

(OP)
I must have changed a preference somewhere which I'd like to change back.  When I dimension a circle the dimension text appears as <MOD-DIA>8.000.... I'd like to get rid of the text in parenthesis and just have the number.  I can delete the text by removing that text from the "dimension text" window in the dimension dialogue window... but it removes it only from that one instance.  How to turn it off permenantly for every instance.

Thanks.

John

RE: CHANGING DIMENSION TEXT

I've not seen nor heard of that one.

Have you tried simply re-starting SW? Or rebooting?

cheers

Thanks CBL... I did reboot (and cleaned out temp folder).. that seems to have taken care of the issue.  Only occurred with dimensioning cirlcles.. nothing else, strange.

thanks.

RE: CHANGING DIMENSION TEXT

I've had this issue off & on since going to SP4...
Not sure why, usually just exist out of solidworks & go back in.  Not the best fix, but glad to know it's not just me.

RE: CHANGING DIMENSION TEXT

Have you both reported it to your VAR and or SolidWorks?

cheers
