WATER SOURCE

(OP)
how do I determine whether the associate water in the crude is from the reservoir or there is a leakage somewhere along the tubing.
Anything to watch out for.mere physical analysis together with provable points would be appreciated.

RE: WATER SOURCE

Looking at the water make up in terms of the different minerals, Calcium, sodium, sulphates, carbonates, Chlorides, ect.. Compare concentration and ratio's between eac.  Your base is a well from the same formation or historical from same well.

You should repost in the petroleum production for more input.
