High ph Low Temp Valve Application

High ph Low Temp Valve Application

(OP)
I have an outdoor application (-30C) design that requires a valve to handle high ph leachate until the liquid freezes.

The solid material that will be stored has a SG of ~1.2 and ph in the 12-13 range once dissolved. Rainfall will be the medium that dissolves the solid so the resulting ph will likely be in the 8-10 ph range.

I can shut the valve off for the winter but I don't want to snap the stem when I open/close the valve when the daily temp approaches zero but at night it drops to ~-15C. The liquid will not freeze until ~ 10-15C.

I started with a Chemline Type 57 valve (butterfly valve) that was ~$350 the price escalated to ~$2200 each once the supplier took a second look at the application.

I would prefer a ball valve and any assistance you can provide would be appreciated.
