Variable Pressure on Shell element

Variable Pressure on Shell element

Variable Pressure on Shell element

(OP)
Hi,
i'm trying to reproduce an aereodynamics pressure distribution on a Femap model (shell elements) for nastran analysis
I have only the element, no geometry, (i obtain it by my  custmer) and i need to generate a 2 dependence variable pressure distribution on shell element......
Infact I have the x,y dependence function of pressure on wing surface(respect to a customized coord sys)
Wen i try to do model-load-elemental-pressure...i cant set the coord sys and the variable andvanced settings......
I usually do that with Patran but now i'm learning to use Femap......
can feemap do that?

Thanks,

Giovanni

RE: Variable Pressure on Shell element

Hi

There might be a solution if I understand your problem correctly.

If you open the element pressure dialog box ther is a "Specify corners" checkbox near the botton. If you check it the dialog changes from one input value to four values.

Good Luck

Thomas

I do that,i use xel and yel function (xel(!i) variable)in element pressure dialog box for single imput after change my actual coord....)
Now i'm able to reproduce the pressure distribution like i need....
Thanks
