Hi
I'm a new member. Anybody could help me? I need a list of yield stress and allowable stress of chinese standard materials, specifically 16MnR, 20, 20R, Q235-A, Q235-B, 30CrMoA, 35CrMoA, and 30CrMo. I have found a web with the chemical composition of these materials, http://www.chinabeitai.com/doce/cp02-2.htm but not the stress values.

The composition is merely that; it says nothing about the processing.*  For example, 30CrMo ~ AISI 4130.  Properties vary depending upon annealed, normalized, quenched, quenched + tempered, cold worked, hot worked, etc. conditions.  Depending upon application, an ASTM or ASME standard and grade would also be used in the USA to obtain desired properties as well as some quality assurance.
  
*The A or B suffix may indicate a specific heat treatment, other processing or grade. You probably need the applicable Chinese GB standard (which can be purchased from standards suppliers).

The strength can be found in the Chinese standards, but allowable is another issue.  If you want to use this for for a Code application then you will have to order it as ASME material.  If for your own use then applying 'reasonable and prudent engineering practices'will need to include uncertainty about the processing and QA of the source.

I know that the mechanical properties of any material depends on the differents heat treatments (and chemical composition too). About the Chinese GB Standard, I haven't found a copy in english language. I think it is only in chinese language.

EdStainless, these materials are for a chinese code application, not ASME code application.

In any case, thank you both for your help.
