How to create the customerized template for drafting

How to create the customerized template for drafting

(OP)
I use NX5 now. Every time I need modify the drafting template to add my name and company, edit dimension and so on. How do I save the template so I can use it later?

RE: How to create the customerized template for drafting

There is nothing special about the file, just how you add it to your session that makes it behave as a template.  If you wish to add a file and use it as a drawing template, the easiest would be to replace one of the existing files in the ...\UGII\templates directory.

RE: How to create the customerized template for drafting

HydraulicEngineer,

John is right you can copy and modify the standard set of templates provided as examples by UGS as your starting point. It is what most people do.

See also, an older thread in this forum. We went through the gamut of info about how this is done on behalf of a fellow who probably wanted to do something beyond your needs.
