There's #4 steel reinforcing along the perimeter.  How can I find the flexural stress, and compressive strength?  Thanks in advance.

RE: 39" RCP centered in 66" x 66" concrete

What are the loads and in what direction? Dead loads of self weight and what else? Soil pressure, water pressure, wind, seismic, etc.

The soil is going to be removed from underneath the pipe, and all around it, so only the dead load.  Trying to figure out how much soil (length) can be removed from beneath the pipe before it cracks.

RE: 39" RCP centered in 66" x 66" concrete

At least a full joint length of pipe, 6 to 8 feet of span.

Can you list the steps needed to find the flexural strength?
