Mechanical Connections

(OP)
Hi,
I work in the oil industry. We are developing new products which requires mating of new pressure connections.I have been told Aircraft industry uses good and new types of mechanical connections. Some of the type of connecting that we use are threading, flanges and welding. I did find aircraft industry uses crimp mechanism for conecting two pressuried housing. Is there any other type of connection that the aircraft industry uses. If so please do let me know.

RE: Mechanical Connections

Try PermaSwage and Deutsch for permanent assembly, Wiggins couplings for removable.
