The State of Michigan in their amendments to NFPA30/2000, require all AST (field fabricated) on grade tanks to have a continuous leak detection system in play by 2008.  Is there any other states requiring this??

RE: AST located on grade Continious Leak Detection

Virginia has such requirements for new tanks and tanks that receive a new bottom.  I beleieve that Florida, Pennsylvania, New york, New Jersey and Alaska have similar rules.  Check out their web sites for more info.

Thanks JoeTank for your response.  In Michigan we have a choice of two approved methods.  Any new method that we use requires approval by our STATE and that method must be third party reviewed and approved by MWGLDE.
