CATIA V5 3D pattern

CATIA V5 3D pattern

CATIA V5 3D pattern

(OP)
Can CATIA V5 pattern a feature (or prefferably a part) along a 3D helix? other programs have curve driven patterns. What have some of you done as a workaround for this issue.

RE: CATIA V5 3D pattern

Power copies instantiated by script is the usual answer to this query. you do require a KT1 or PKT license the instantiate a power copy or UDF by script.

RE: CATIA V5 3D pattern

I'm not sure about the licensing but I think the KT1 is for instanciating.

If you want a complex pattern with udf then u use the "loop" in knowledge advisor, if you want to use parts then it's "knowledge pattern feature" and you need to define the pattern with knowledgeware

RE: CATIA V5 3D pattern

PowerCopies come with any basic P2 CATIA configuration (i.e. MD2).

User Defined Features require a PKT to create, and a PKT or KT1 to instanciate.

RE: CATIA V5 3D pattern

and a Power copies require a KT1 or PKT to instantiate if you are trying to do it via the automation API.
