Transformer & inductor parameters

Transformer & inductor parameters

Transformer & inductor parameters

(OP)
Dear friends,

Could one provide me the following transformer & inductor data please:

1)The short circuit impedance (Resistance r and leakage reactance X) of a single phase, low voltage, transformer rated at 4kVA, 230V / 35V, 50Hz.

2)The resistance of an inductor of 0.045 mH rated at 100A current

Both of the above items are used at the output of a DC-AC battery inverter. The filter inductor is connected at the 35V output of the inverter.

Thank you in advance

RE: Transformer & inductor parameters

Both questions are impossible to answer based on the information you have supplied. Why don't you just measure them?

Other times I just let her sleep!

I cannot measure them simply because I do not have them. However I need to account for these values in my computations and simulation. What else could I supply you that may help?

RE: Transformer & inductor parameters

You could locate manufacturers of similar products and ask them for the data.

I did that allright. I have not got any response so far. I think this is because if it is not in the catalogue and futhermore you are not going to place an order, it is difficult to have somebody engaged in calculating them. I believe data are enough though. At least, a manufacturer's site providing data in this range would be appreciated.

RE: Transformer & inductor parameters

Please don't cross-post in multiple forums.  I've red-flagged your post in the Electric Power forum.  If there are more, you should red-flag those yourself.

For a 100A inductor, you might want to do an Internet search for "reactors"  If it's air core, you should be able to work out an approximate dc resistance by computing what it would take to get the desired reactance.

For the transformer, it's really hard to estimate.  I'd look harder for a supplier and try to find a data sheet.

RE: Transformer & inductor parameters

For the inductor, if 10 Watts at 100 Amps would be 1 milliohm.
