Ansys Multiphysics V11 SP 1 License Install problems

(OP)
Hi
i just installed the new version of Ansys Multiphysics V11  SP 1,  32 bit today. that went ok. Also installed license manager and selected and started sucessfully the license manager  form the license file, so everything is ok there.

However when i launch Ansys Product launcher it cannot see the license manager running and therefore will not work without it.

Has anyone had similar problems. Can anyone suggest anyhting. The original software version  V11 before this service pack SP1 worked fine when i  carried out the same approach.

RE: Ansys Multiphysics V11 SP 1 License Install problems

Hi,
from what you wrote, the most probable solution is this:

open your license file and check which "date" you have under the main "features". Note these dates.
Now check the release date of the products you have (if you are in doubt, ask your reseller): if the release date is successive to the "date" in the license file, the concerned feature won't run.
In fact, the license allows you to run whichever version of the product UP TO the "date" it has inside. Afterwards, you have to ask for a license update (if you are currently under maintenance, these updates should be generated automatically and automatically sent to you, but sometimes the reseller is "late" and you may run into these problems).

Regards
