(OP)
converting from solid edge ver 19 to ver 20, How can I save the settings in ver 19 to solid edge ver 20. Like draft file bill of material setup, Drill holes callouts.

RE: Setup

The files are named
draftcallout.txt
draftlist.txt
and there is a third draft?.txt

These are in the C:\Program Files\Solid Edge Vxx\Program\Templates\Reports folder.

Copy those to a save location, uninstall v19, install v20, and copy them back to the folder, overwriting the existing ones that come with SE.

We keep these files stored safely on the network to make sure we don't forget to make a copy before uninstalling the previous version.

Your other config files, propseed, holes, pipethread, and others can be stored anywhere and the File Locations tab in the Options menu can be used to point SE to their location.

RE: Setup

Scott,
Along the same lines, can you save registry keys for V19 and use them to restore settings for V20 ?
I've done this to transfer settings from one workstation to another but not for new versions.
