Bom lists - asm and parts in one .dft

Bom lists - asm and parts in one .dft

Bom lists - asm and parts in one .dft

(OP)
Hi, I want to create in .dft one sheet where I can keep top_ assembly_ list and second where I can keep all_parts_list.
It's not posible - only assemblies or parts for every BOM-list.
How to do that?

Chris

RE: Bom lists - asm and parts in one .dft

You create a non-graphical part with the same file property information as your assembly file as a component within the same assembly file.  When you create your atomic parts list, the non-graphical part "appears" to be an assembly in your BOM.

RE: Bom lists - asm and parts in one .dft

Chris,
You can create 2 bom lists.
Create your first one with top-level only.
When you create the second one there is an icon that looks like a list with a chain link. This will probably be highlighted. This is the "Link to Active" button.
Click it to un-highlight.
You can then format your new list to show all parts.
Be aware however, that the item numbers will not match those in the top-level list.

RE: Bom lists - asm and parts in one .dft

Hi, I need to place a column in the list of pieces of the plane environment with the data found in the table of variables, I explain to myself, some structural parts realize alone with extrusion,
and in the table of variables this property appears with the type "dim" and the name "ContourFlange_1_FiniteDepth" and its value. as I can make it.

RE: Bom lists - asm and parts in one .dft

Marcus,
I am a little unsure of your question, but I am assuming you want to show the variable ContourFlange_1_FiniteDepth" in you parts list.
What you need to do is -
1. Open the part file
2. Open the variable table
3. In the "Expose" column ensure the checkbox is ticked.
If the column is not there right-click at the top of one
of the other columns and select "Columns..." from the
list. Make sure that "Exposed Name" is ticked and the
   column will show.
4. Save the file.
5. Go to your draft file and then the "Columns" section of
   the parts list properties
7. In the "Available Columns" list you should see the
variable name. Click on it and then "Add".
8. When you update the parts list, the column and it's
   values should be displayed.

Good Luck
bc.

RE: Bom lists - asm and parts in one .dft

thank  beachcomber, I made what you indicated me, but I work with a version in Spanish of solid edge 15, and in the table of variables I don't find the function "column", alone this the option filter, edit, copy and paste links

RE: Bom lists - asm and parts in one .dft

Hi Marcus,
I'm not sure if Expose Variable was available in V15 so that may be the problem.

'Expose Variable' was introduced first in V16
