New NX4 Sheet Metal Module and Beads aroung a bend

New NX4 Sheet Metal Module and Beads aroung a bend

New NX4 Sheet Metal Module and Beads aroung a bend

(OP)
Is it possible to create a bead that passes thru a bend and is on both flanegs and be able to unfold it as either as flattened solid or a wireframe flat pattern? Ans have it show up correctly on the flat? The bead would eb around the outside of the apart and act as a stiffening object.
So far I have had to modeli with conventional featyres and then syppress it before unfolding or flattening a wireframe. But then it does not show up in the flat.

RE: New NX4 Sheet Metal Module and Beads aroung a bend

It appears that the NX Sheet Metal software will not allow you to create a Bead feature across a bend face.  At least not with NX 5.0.2.2, but there is always work being done to provide more advanced capabilities so this could change in the future.
