(OP)
Can anyone tell me a good source for the price trends of boiler tubes over the last 5 years.

I know there has been increases but I am trying to nail down the amount to help me justify some budget adjustments.

Help would be appreciated.

RE: Price increases

Worldwide or locally? Specify 'boiler tubes'? Raw products (piping) or machined and special engineered products?

Can the two or three nearest larger suppliers help you? At least for prices delivery end 2007, and out 2008 in actual amounts for you?

If not, I would suggest that indications give (for Europe) a general 4-5% increase on iron/construction steel machined products per year with an extra 5% on top of that in 2006 and an extra 6% probably also coming up in late 2007 early 2008.

If stainless steel or special alloy products are included far more the last three years, and more for 'raw' products than engineered produscts.

Comments anyone?
