Is it possible to import a vector file, like corel might produce, into solidworks as a sketch?

RE: vector file import

You may import DXF, DWG, IGES, STEP, ACIS and Parasolid.

RE: vector file import

That depends on the file type (extension).

SW can import Adobe Illustrator files.

Thanks folks.

RE: vector file import

Adobe can export to DXF.  I don't know about Corel.

There is a shareware program called "GhostScript" that reads and translates between many vector formats, include postscript, PDF, and DXF.

Make sure your file is all vector elements and free of raster elements.
