3 inch socket weld valve dimensions

(OP)
We are supplying some 3" SW ball valves for a job in UAE and our vendor has delivered 3" threaded valves that they have machined a socket into. The socket depth is about 5/8" and there are many visible threads beneath the machined socket.  Local mechanical subcontractors indicate that this is occasionally done to expedite parts delivery.  We don't have ANSI B16.11 and don't know what the required socket depth is.  Can anyone tell me what that dimension is?

RE: 3 inch socket weld valve dimensions

Thread depth is About 30.5MM, effective thread depth is about 25.9MM.

Socket depth is About 16.0MM.
