I am designing a structural steel mullion for a mausoleum that will be infilled with mosaic glass specially made by an artist. The mullions consist of 4 vertical members, 24' in height. The vertical members span from a floor slab to a horizontal beam above. The horizontal beam is continuous, but the beam projects at 45 degrees beginning 5' from the left support to form a gable with a peak at the mid-span. The beam projects back down at 45 degrees to 5' from the right support. I am concerned about horizontal deflection in the irregular shaped beam. The design is similar to a curved beam design. I am looking for design examples to have something to hang the hat on, but am not finding anything. Has anyone encountered something similar?

This sounds like a pretty simple torsion problem. Any decent book on torsion should be able to give you a way of calculating the torsional deflection, then you just add this to the beam deflection to get the total.
